USAID RADA Next Generation is a five-year initiative (2021-2026), implemented by the “Internews Ukraine” NGO, that aims to advance the “next generation” of reforms that will enable the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) to become a modern, effective institution that promotes accountability and democratic development in Ukraine.
USAID RADA: Next Generation Program organized the three-day online training "Fundamentals of State Policy Analysis," in which 33 VRU Secretariat employees took part. Participants held active group discussions, jointly analyzed all stages of the policy cycle, modeled the impact of alternative policies, and prepared and presented a policy analysis document.
On October 20-21, USAID RADA: Next Generation Program and EU-funded project Association4U held the second session of the two-day training "Approximation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law: key principles and useful tools," in which the employees of Committees' Secretariats and the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine participated.
On October 18-20, the Program held "VRU Committees" training, in which 34 VRU Secretariat employees participated. They identified difficulties in ensuring the committees' activities, discussed the interactions of committees with different audiences, and enhanced their practical skills.

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program organized a four-day visit for Ukrainian MPs and their teams, local government representatives, and non-governmental organizations to Lithuania within the project "Partnership of Districts." Ukrainians exchanged experiences with Lithuanian colleagues regarding interaction and communication with voters, discussed European integration, and agreed on cooperation in many spheres and at different levels.

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program presented research on post-legislative scrutiny. Sixty representatives of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine discussed with experts which model of post-legislative scrutiny is the most suitable for Ukraine and who should be involved into this process.
