USAID RADA Next Generation is a five-year initiative (2021-2026), implemented by the “Internews Ukraine” NGO, that aims to advance the “next generation” of reforms that will enable the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) to become a modern, effective institution that promotes accountability and democratic development in Ukraine.
From May 30 to June 3, Igor Kogut, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program Director, traveled to Brussels to hold meetings and consultations with MEPs, representatives of political groups, and the European Parliament Secretariat. The parties agreed to work together to strengthen the capacity and potential of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
On June 6, with the support of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program (RANG) and on the initiative of Halyna Vasylchenko, Ukrainian MP, a public discussion was held on the challenges for small businesses and the concept of modernizing the simplified taxation system. More than 100 entrepreneurs from Lviv and other Ukraine regions participated in the event.

On May 30, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program (RANG) team presented its activities at the civil society forum "Outlines of the Future: Victory, Restoration and Modernization of Ukraine". We told about our grant initiatives, trainings, research, educational projects, and numerous initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to develop Ukrainian democracy and parliamentarism.
On the initiative of MP Natalya Pipa and with the organizational and communication support of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program (RANG), a public consultation called "Ukrainian-language environment is the key to successful education" was held on May 24. More than 100 participants joined the consultation to discuss the Ukrainian language functioning in the educational environment.
On October 25, 2022, USAID RADA: Next Generation Program and partners will present the Natolin4Capacity Building educational platform. There are 16 online courses on various aspects of EU functioning and the history of EU and Ukraine relations, which Ukrainian civil servants can take for free in 2022-2024.
On May 26, the RANG team will present the result of the Index of legislative activity of the 6th session of the VRU. The survey was launched in February, but the presentation was postponed due to the war.
We inform about the activities of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program and its main objectives to help the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine become a modern, effective, open, and accountable institution for the sake of Ukraine's democratic development.
