Training "Fundamentals of State Policy Analysis" for VRU Secretariat employees

What is the difference between politics and policy? Why do we need to analyze stakeholder interests? How to assess the impact of policy and change it?

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program's experts discussed all these and other questions with the participants of the three-day online training "Fundamentals of State Policy Analysis," in which 33 VRU Secretariat employees took part.

During this training, participants improved their practical skills regarding:

  • how to effectively and precisely formulate policy problems;
  • how to conduct stakeholder analysis;
  • by what criteria to assess policy alternatives;
  • what issues to include in the "agenda";
  • how to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of policies.

The online seminars also included an interactive part. Participants held active group discussions, jointly analyzed all stages of the policy cycle, modeled the impact of alternative policies, and prepared and presented a policy analysis document.
