USAID RADA: Next Generation Program held "VRU Committees" training for VRU Secretariat employees

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program increases the capacity of Secretariats of committees and departments of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine!

On October 18-20, the Program held "VRU Committees" training, in which 34 VRU Secretariat employees participated.

During the interactive online seminars, participants:

• updated knowledge about VRU committees' functions, structure, and forms of work;
• identified difficulties in ensuring the committees' activities;
• discussed the interactions of committees with different audiences;
• developed recommendations for improving the work of VRU committees due to international experience.

VRU Secretariat employees also enhanced their practical skills. During the training, they developed communication plans for interaction with various parties and simulated an on-site committee meeting in which each participant received a specific role and had to act accordingly.
