The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program conducted the second lecture "Accession to the EU: Process and Requirements for Candidate Countries" as part of an online course on European integration. The event was attended by more than 50 representatives of the Parliament, including employees of the Secretariat, committees, and the Verkhovna Rada Research Service.

From August 15-18, USAID RADA: Next Generation hosted an interactive online school for 46 representatives from Ukraine’s civil society sector. The goal of the program was to enhance the capacity of Ukrainian public organizations and actively engage them in the lawmaking process.

The USAID RADA: The Next Generation Program organized a two-day training in Odesa titled "Citizen Participation in the Legislative Process. Advocacy" for 50 activists, volunteers and representatives of non-governmental organizations. The Program conducts trainings for civil society, explaining the tools and formats of cooperation with the Parliament.
With the support of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, the VRU Temporary Special Commission on IDPs held an offsite meeting in Odesa Oblast last week. MPs talked to IDPs, checked their living conditions and the protection of their rights, as well as the efficiency of budget spending by state authorities and local governments in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
The Forum “Veterans – The Path Home. Community Capacities in Protecting Rights and Meeting the Needs of Veterans” held in Zviahel, brought together more than 250 participants. It has been already the third Veterans’ Forum organized by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Veterans' Rights and Inter-Factional Deputy Association "Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine together with its partners.
