Supported by the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, International IDEA organized a discussion panel “Parliament under Wartime Conditions in Action: Lessons for Ukrainian Democracy” within the framework of the Forum 2000 conference in Prague. Speakers emphasized the importance of openness of the Parliament and strengthening the role of civil society in democratic changes, especially during martial law.

On October 11-12, the Veterans' Forum was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, organized by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights and the Inter-Factional Deputy Association “Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine” together with partners under the support of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program. The event featured panel discussions and practical workshops aimed at improving approaches to supporting veterans by studying effective practices from the regions.

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program organized a coordination meeting with MPs and representatives of Parliamentary Committees to share successful cooperation practices and identify further priorities. Project “Model Committee” within the framework of the RADA: Next Generation Program is aimed at improving the efficiency of the Verkhovna Rada Committees.
On October 4, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy held a ceremony to award certificates from the educational programs organized by the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ukrainian Parliament. These programs contribute to the alignment of Ukrainian legislation with EU standards, and the knowledge gained will help the Ukrainian Parliament to better cope with the challenges of European integration and interparliamentary cooperation.
The USAID Rada: Next Generation Program, together with International IDEA experts, organized an online briefing for MPs from different factions, with over 40 participants. The experts spoke about ways to strengthen cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada and the European Parliament and effective communication with citizens on European integration.
The USAID Rada: Next Generation Program has provided over 300 items of computer, audio, and video equipment to strengthen the institutional capacity of the parliamentary service. The newly created center will serve as a hub for the professional development of Parliamentary representatives, in particular in the areas of parliamentary reform and European integration of Ukraine.
