Setting up Training Center in VRU Research Service

The USAID Rada: Next Generation Program has provided over 300 items of computer, audio, and video equipment to strengthen the institutional capacity of the parliamentary service. The newly created center will serve as a hub for the professional development of Parliamentary representatives, in particular in the areas of parliamentary reform and European integration of Ukraine.

That made it also possible to set up a training center environment where the Research Service staff will be able to provide high-quality training to MPs, their assistants, and employees of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat in various formats - offline, online, and hybrid.

The equipment significantly expands the center's training capabilities and enables the latest interactive teaching methods. The newly created center will serve as a hub for the ongoing professional development of the Parliament's representatives, in particular in areas related to parliamentary reform and European integration of Ukraine.

“I hope that the equipment will help the Research Service to be an even more effective and inclusive institution that will reach a wide range of all Ukrainians through various hybrid training programs,” said Ann Hopper, Director of the Office of Democracy and Governance at USAID Mission to Ukraine.

At the event, the USAID Rada: Next Generation Program and the VRU Research Service also signed a new annual work plan that outlines areas of cooperation for further institutional development of the parliamentary service.
