USAID RADA Next Generation is a five-year initiative (2021-2026), implemented by the “Internews Ukraine” NGO, that aims to advance the “next generation” of reforms that will enable the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) to become a modern, effective institution that promotes accountability and democratic development in Ukraine.
On March 22, USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program organized a public discussion to talk about the activities of Ukraine's Parliament during wartime. The USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program experts have prepared the second study, analyzing the work of the 10th session of the VRU IX convocation. More than 80 representatives of the Parliament, civil society, diplomatic missions, and experts attended this event.

USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program and International IDEA organized a special session on Ukraine's democratic wartime experience at the Third Summit for Democracy, which took place in Seoul on March 18-20. The Program brought together representatives of the VRU, NGOs, teachers, and students who shared their personal experiences of spreading parliamentary civic education under martial law
USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program organized a study visit to the Chamber of Deputies of Italy for five staffers of Verkhovna Rada's Secretariat and Research Service. The participants learned in detail how both chambers of Parliament work and interact with the government to ensure high-quality policy-making and effective policy implementation.
USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, in cooperation with the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, organized a public discussion, "Policy Papers in the Legislative Process: Scottish Practices," which was attended by over 160 people. The Program is holding a series of events to share foreign experiences using public policy papers and discuss their possible implementation in the Ukrainian legislative process.

With the support of USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, the Agency for Educational Policy Development conducted two-day trainings for school teachers. The participants discussed parliamentary civic education issues and conducted an all-Ukrainian simulation game for high school students called "Y18: We Are Lawmakers!"
