Sufficient, honest, and clear informing builds solid ground for trustworthy relationships between state institutions and citizens. That is why the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program hosted a special discussion panel titled "Dialogues on Parliament" at the "Redkolegia. Summit," inviting the Verkhovna Rada leadership and giving 40 regional journalists a chance to put forwards direct questions, which is especially important under martial law. In 2022-23, RANG assisted three Verkhovna Rada committees (on Social Policy, on Energy, and on State Power Organization) in conducting PLS inquiries. On November 24, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program held a public discussion involving representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, civil society organizations, experts, and donors. More than 100 participants and 20 speakers spent four hours discussing the importance of civil society and the Parliament's interaction and how they should cooperate under martial law.
In March-September 2023, the USAID RADA: Next Generation program implemented the grant initiative "Citizens and Parliament: Democratic Representation and Effective Interaction under Martial Law." USAID program "RADA: Next Generation" regularly conducts expert analyses of newly enacted Ukrainian legislation and communicates the most significant and impactful changes to the citizens. One of these recent changes is the Law of Ukraine "On Lawmaking Activity." The Program experts outlined its main changes and innovations in social media publications and infographics.
