Committees Corresponding to VRU Committees in Parliaments of EU Countries

Ukraine's European integration is a key strategic goal of the country’s foreign policy, aimed at full integration into the political, economic, and legal structures of the European Union. A critical aspect of achieving this goal is enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is essential for effectively harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with EU norms.

In this regard, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plays a vital role in the European integration process, serving as the main body responsible for adopting and implementing legislation that aligns with EU requirements. An important element of this process is Ukraine’s cooperation with the parliaments of EU member states, enabling the exchange of experience, dialogue, and collaboration to ensure the smooth implementation of European standards in Ukraine. This cooperation strengthens political and legal ties, furthering Ukraine's gradual integration into the European community.

Corresponding Committees in EU Member States' Parliaments for the Following Verkhovna Rada Committees:

• VRU Committee on Economic Development;
• VRU Committee on Energy, Housing, and Utilities;
• VRU Committee on Youth and Sports ;
• VRU Committee on Legal Policy;

Handbooks have been prepared with detailed information about the corresponding committees in the parliaments of EU member states. These handbooks will serve as valuable tools for deepening cooperation between the Ukrainian and European parliaments.
