USAID RADA Next Generation is a five-year initiative (2021-2026), implemented by the “Internews Ukraine” NGO, that aims to advance the “next generation” of reforms that will enable the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) to become a modern, effective institution that promotes accountability and democratic development in Ukraine.
On February 9, the VRU Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development organized public discussions "Experience of the functioning of the institute of starosts (village elders). Regional dimension". The event was held in Lutsk with the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program's support.
On February 8, VRU’s Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights organized public hearings “The tools of public support for veterans – participants in hostilities in the post-war period”. More than 100 participants took part in the hearing, which was organized with the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program's support.
With the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program's support, the NGO "Agency of Education Policy Development" (AEPD) and the Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine conducted workshops on the teaching methodology of the course "Our Parliament" for students of elementary school. 156 teachers successfully completed this program.

The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program developed the "Crisis Communications in the constituency" training at the request of Ukrainian parliamentarians and conducted a three-day training of trainers on this topic on January 27-29. The first pilot training for MPs and their assistants will occur on February 15-17.
For the first time, with the support of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, the VRU Research Service conducted training for parliamentarians and their assistants on January 23-25. The participants strategized with the trainers how to build interaction and communication with voters and other stakeholders under martial law.
