Partnership Development Manager
Internews Ukraine is seeking a Partnership Development Manager who will be responsible for strategically expanding the donor portfolio and building long-term international partnerships in media, strategic communications, countering disinformation, and democratic governance.
The position involves strategic, systematic engagement with donors, including relationship-building, trust-building, organizational positioning, and creating opportunities for sustainable, long-term cooperation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively seek new donors, partners, and grant opportunities (international organizations, government agencies, embassies, and foundations);
- Systematically expand the donor portfolio and build a sustainable funding pipeline;
- Organize and conduct meetings with potential partners;
- Analyze donor strategies, program documents, and the political context to identify strategic entry points;
- Develop project applications (in English and Ukrainian);
- Coordinate work among program, financial, and management teams;
- Represent the organization at strategic meetings, forums, and working groups.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in international projects, partnerships, or fundraising;
- Proven experience securing funding from international donors;
- Deep understanding of donor architecture (governmental donors, EU institutions, international foundations, development agencies); an established professional network within the international donor community will be a strong advantage;
- Ability to work at the strategic planning level, not only preparing individual applications;
- Experience in negotiating and building long-term partnerships;
- Higher education (international relations, public administration, political science, economics, journalism, or related fields);
- Fluency in Ukrainian; English -- Advanced or higher (professional working proficiency);
- Strategic thinking and the ability to structure complex ideas into programmatic solutions;
- High degree of independence and responsibility.
