THE UKRAINIAN MEDIA AND SOCIETY FUND
The Fund was launched in 2025 by the NGO Internews Ukraine. With 30 years of experience and over 800 projects in its portfolio, the organization is a trusted partner for media outlets, journalists, and civil society organizations working to strengthen the cognitive resilience of Ukrainian society and establish European values in Ukraine.

Our Mission
To foster a healthy information ecosystem and a resilient society amid cognitive warfare, built on free media and social engagement in a sovereign, European Ukraine.

What we do
- Pool and manage donor funds to support independent Ukrainian media and civil society organizations.
- Empower the influential voices of local communities in Ukraine through comprehensive training and co-production programs, enabling authentic, agenda-setting national and regional journalism.
- Provide institutional support to media outlets through a transparent regranting process involving independent experts.
- Strengthen the financial sustainability of national and local media in Ukraine through strategic support, innovative business development, and capacity-building initiatives that ensure long-term independence and resilience.

Після незалежної процедури оцінювання Наглядова рада фонду відібрала 18 організацій, які продемонстрували належну спроможність і чітку відданість розвитку політичної журналістики в Україні.
Political journalism development for building a healthy democratic ecosystem in Ukraine
The maximum amount of awarded grants will be 600,000 Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) for projects of up to 9 months. Project proposals must be submitted no later than January 26, 2026, by 18:00 (Kyiv time).
