Putin’s key Ukraine ally charged with treason

"The current criminal charges Medvedchuk is facing indicate that the Kremlin has played a central role in enabling his activities in Ukraine. Much will now depend on whether the charges of high treason lead to his conviction," Volodymyr Yermolenko, Director of Analytics at Internews Ukraine and UkraineWorld's editor in chief, commented on the investigation into possible treason of pro-Kremlin politician Viktor Medvedchuk that follows the blocking of three Ukrainian TV channels affiliated with him.
