Press releases and news materials are among the main information products in parliamentary communications with the media and the public. High-quality materials ensure openness and transparency of the Parliament's work and promptly and clearly inform citizens about the most important socially significant events.
Therefore, on May 11, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program conducted a workshop on trends and rules for writing press releases and news pieces. Twenty-five representatives of the communication units of the VRU Secretariat and secretariats of parliamentary committees attended this training session.

The participants also practiced the rules for writing high-quality press releases using actual website examples. They received a list of practical tips on developing news releases.
The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program strengthens the communication capacity of Ukraine's Parliament to enhance its ability to inform voters, engage them in the legislative process, and ensure transparency, openness, and trust in the Verkhovna Rada as a democratic institution.
