In August, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program prepared 70 banners, according to the updated style of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and provided them to all 23 parliamentary committees. Branded visual products help the Verkhovna Rada increase its visibility among Ukrainians and build public trust around this image.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been actively developing a branding strategy in recent years. According to the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk, it is necessary to eradicate any Soviet symbolism and "to make the modern image of the Parliament compliant with our Euro-Atlantic course and, at the same time, emphasize its unique historical role in the development of independent Ukraine."
The world's leading democratic parliaments pay special attention to their public image, as it affects voters' perception. It is important that the image is both modern and reflects the democratic tradition. Therefore, European parliaments regularly update their branding strategies and symbols.
The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program supports the Ukrainian Parliament in introducing an updated branding policy and developing and implementing a communication strategy. It streamlines the Parliament's diverse visualization and symbols, allowing the Program to develop banners in the single branded style for all Verkhovna Rada committees.

At the same time, as Ms. Kondratiuk noted, "The branding strategy is not just a new logo and brand book. It also includes openness, inclusiveness, equality, and accessibility of the Parliament. It includes upgrading the press center, introducing parliamentary education among children and youth, amending the Rules of Procedure or a separate law on the opposition, and adopting the MPs' Code of Ethics." The RADA: Next Generation Program assists the Parliament in implementing all these components.
