On November 14, USAID RADA: Next Generation Program held a strategic session for the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Its employees shared their vision of the institution's development strategy until 2027. In particular, the mission, goals, and values of the Parliamentary Research Service were discussed in detail. They also focused on the principles of such institutions in Western developed democracies, particularly the principles of the Research Service of the US Congress:
European Parliament's Research Service principles also include client orientation. Hence, participants discussed what kind of products VRU's Research Service could prepare and develop and how employees should interact with beneficiaries.
During the session, the importance of precise planning and regular monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy was emphasized. Based on the meeting results, relevant recommendations will be developed and included in the Strategy of the Research Service.
