This week, the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program supported three meetings with MPs to discuss various aspects of Ukraine's reconstruction and qualitative democratic transformation.
It is essential for the Program to maintain close interaction between voters and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under martial law and to engage citizens in the legislative process. Public discussions of socially significant issues in times of war are essential to learn about the needs of citizens and respond to them promptly.
On 17 July, the IRI, a partner of the RADA: The Next Generation Programme, organized a meeting of representatives of local communities and professional communities with MP Olena Shulyak.
"I am very pleasantly surprised by today's activity! Once again, I am convinced that such meetings should be held more often. Priorities should be determined only on the ground. So should development programs. Our dialogue today will continue in the regions," said Ms Shulyak.
Also, within the framework of the Citizens and Parliament grant initiative of the RADA: Next Generation Program, the Active Community held two online meetings with MPs to engage society in rebuilding Ukraine.
