How can one ensure European integration training for Ukrainian public servants?

On October 23, Igor Kogut, Director of USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, participated in a round table discussion titled "Professional Training of Public Servants in the Context of Ukraine's European Integration." The discussion centered on the role of international technical assistance programs in enhancing the training of Ukrainian public servants.

Igor Kogut highlighted the active involvement of the RADA: Next Generation Program in strengthening the institutional capacity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and providing training for MPs and their teams. Specifically:

1. Our experts developed and conducted 14 trainings, including "Ukraine's legislation approximation to EU rights: practical aspects for the VRU";
2. We develop the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and its coaching potential to ensure high professional training of MPs;
3. "RADA: Next Generation" organized study visits to the parliaments of Austria, the Czech Republic, and Croatia this year to introduce participants to their European integration experiences.

Igor Kogut emphasized, "During the first two years of the Program's operation, we have trained more than 1,500 people and will continue to enhance the competence of public servants and MPs. Our goal is to make learning attractive and practical. Public servants will be motivated to learn if the training provides practical skills, considers modern civil service needs, and adopts an interactive format."

Our Program co-organized the event with Ukraine's National Agency on Civil Service and the VRU Committee on State Building, and USAID "RADA: The Next Generation" Activity collaborates closely with the committee to enhance its capacity to fulfill its core functions.
