Helping MPs develop international cooperation at the constituency level

Halyna Vasylchenko, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, visited the United Kingdom as part of the Constituency Partnership project of the RADA: Next Generation Program.

The Program, together with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), developed her cooperation with British MP Tony Lloyd and organized a visit to the British constituency in order to:

  1. improve work in the constituency and interaction with voters;
  2. increase the effectiveness of solving problems of voters and the constituency in the wartime and post-war period;
  3. raise awareness of partners and citizens abroad about the situation in Ukraine and its needs.

"I held many meetings to discuss the key challenges in Ukraine and how all can help. We had a very productive event with members of the British Parliament. I spent a lot of time in Lviv's sister city, Rochdale. One of the results is that I agreed with a local college to hold joint online classes with Lviv schools," Vasylchenko shared the results of her trip.

So far, the RADA: Next Generation Program together with WFD has already developed a partnership of 5 Ukrainian MPs with British MPs at the constituency level.
