More than 1,000 students in Volyn region took part in parliamentary lessons and talked with a member of Ukraine's Parliament!
The Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine continues online lessons on parliamentary education in Ukrainian regions. On December 15, with USAID RADA: Next Generation Program support, two more online lessons were held for students of schools and technical education institutions of Volyn region, which work in communities within the 20th constituency.
This district is represented in Ukraine's parliament by MP Viacheslav Rubliov, who gladly joined the lessons and was able to communicate with his compatriots. He gave advice to students, asked about their problems, and answered questions, including:
The participants were also told about the functions, structure, and activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the legislative process's peculiarities, and the parliamentarians' rights and duties.
The next session of parliamentary lessons from the Educational Center is scheduled for January and will be held in Dnipropetrovsk region.
USAID RADA: Next Generation Program provides the Educational Center with communication support in organizing parliamentary lessons in Ukrainian regions and helps involve MPs and their teams in civic parliamentary education initiatives.
