Schoolchildren in Lviv region talked to the member of Ukraine's Parliament

More than 500 students in the Lviv region took part in the parliamentary lesson and talked with a member of Ukraine's Parliament! The Education Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine continues online lessons on parliamentary education in Ukrainian regions. On April 25, with USAID RADA: Next Generation Program's support, an online lesson was held for students of schools and technical education institutions of the Lviv region, which work in communities within the 115th constituency.

This district is represented in Ukraine's parliament by MP Nataliia Pipa, who gladly joined the lessons and was able to communicate with his compatriots. He gave advice to students, asked about their problems, and answered questions, including:

• what tasks are within the competence of parliamentarians?
• what appeals do parliamentarians receive and how do they conduct diplomacy abroad?
• how do MPs build their teams?
• what is needed to become an MP assistant?
• how did MP's activities change after the February invasion?
• how does MP interact with Ukrainian youth?

The participants were also told about the functions, structure, and activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the legislative process's peculiarities, and the parliamentarians' rights and duties.

USAID RADA: Next Generation Program provides the Educational Center with communication support in organizing parliamentary lessons in Ukrainian regions and helps involve MPs and their teams in civic parliamentary education initiatives.
