Strengthening capacity of CSOs cooperating with Verkhovna Rada

On April 3, the USAID “RADA: Next Generation” Program organized an online training on “Gender-Sensitive Approach in the Work of Civil Society Organizations” for its Citizens and Parliament grant program participants.

Within the grant program, Ukrainian CSOs build interaction and cooperation between MPs (parliamentary factions, committees) and voters, engage citizens in decision-making and parliamentary work, conduct public consultations, etc.

During the training, the participants

  • outlined various manifestations of discrimination and its harmfulness;
  • discussed tools and measures to ensure gender sensitivity in the daily work of non-governmental organizations;
  • analyzed current legislation and state gender policy;
  • practiced developing internal anti-discrimination policies.

The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Ukrainian Women Lawyers Association “YurFem.”

This is the 4th training conducted by the “RADA: Next Generation” Program for organizations cooperating with the Ukrainian Parliament. Through the training, the Program aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of such non-governmental organizations and promote the highest standards of their work, which will positively impact both Ukrainian society and the Parliament.
