On June 20, Stanislav Ivasyk, Head of the Research Department of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, participated in a conference at the Austrian Parliament dedicated to the Parliamentary Research Day.
He presented the findings of two studies conducted by the program titled "Parliament in War: Ukraine’s example," which focused on the operations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the onset of russia's full-scale invasion to the present day. Ivasyk shared the unique legislative processes, the pursuit of political consensus, and parliamentary communication during this period, highlighting key trends and lessons for the global community.

"The international community is very interested in this experience because it is unique. Our partners are eagerly studying it to develop recommendations on ensuring the sustainability and continuity of state institutions under challenging conditions. Our research will be of great help to them," said Stanislav Ivasyk.
The conference also included discussions on how parliaments bolster democratic resilience, maintain their independence despite various pressures, cultivate a culture of debate, and establish criteria for parliamentary effectiveness.
USAID RADA: Next Generation conducts and promotes parliamentary research on Ukraine to integrate its findings into the global scientific knowledge base and share its experiences internationally. This effort aims to increase interest in Ukrainian issues among foreign countries and parliaments, mobilize support, and foster new partnerships.
