The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program supported the participation of the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine headed by Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk in the Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which is taking place this year in Riga.
The goal of the summit is to raise global awareness and support for Ukraine's sovereignty and restoration of territorial integrity, including on the Crimean peninsula, and to discuss the most effective ways to hold Russia accountable for its war crimes.
The Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform in Riga brought together delegations from over 40 countries and representatives of international organizations.
Today, the Summit was officially opened with speeches by the event's co-organizers, speakers of the Latvian and Ukrainian parliaments Daiga Mierina and Ruslan Stefanchuk. According to Stefanchuk, the Summit is another proof of the important role that parliaments can play in consolidating efforts to support Ukraine's victory.

The main part of the Summit starts tomorrow, including official speeches, panel discussions and working sessions. The broadcast will be available on the Crimean Platform's YouTube channel. Marten Ehnberg, Director of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, is also attending the Summit to develop international partnerships for the Verkhovna Rada.
