Within the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program grant initiative, the Union for the Promotion of Rural Green Tourism of Ukraine organized an online consultation with MPs Larysa Bilozir and Dmytro Nalotov on August 25.
The participants discussed changes to tourism legislation and the Tourism Development Strategy of Ukraine. The Union presented its proposals for amending the laws (those proposals were developed at previous meetings with community representatives and professionals). They also noted that it is important to intensify the dialogue with MPs so that legislative decisions take into account the challenges of martial law and the needs of voters in Ukraine's regions.
MPs Larysa Bilozir and Dmytro Naletov discussed communities' concerns regarding rural tourism and promised to discuss the presented proposals with their colleagues. The participants also agreed to hold several joint consultations like this one.
