VRU Education Center held educational events in Chernivtsi and Lviv

In October, the Education Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in cooperation with USAID Program "RADA: Next Generation" and the American Councils for International Education, organized 14 interactive sessions and events in schools and universities in Chernivtsi and Lviv. Nearly 1,900 schoolchildren and students participated in these training sessions. During these sessions, the instructors introduced schoolchildren to the functioning of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the intricacies of law-making, the roles of MPs, and the various tools for interaction with them. Meanwhile, at the universities, the simulation of a plenary session of the parliament allowed students to immerse themselves in the role of MPs. They engaged in lively parliamentary debates, attempted to forge coalitions, and even had the opportunity to conceptualize and present their draft laws. USAID program "RADA: The Next Generation" and its partners assisted the Education Center of the VRU in organizing parliamentary education events to enhance the understanding of democracy and parliamentary processes among Ukrainians, nurturing a conscious generation of individuals actively shaping the nation's future. Proactive youth is crucial to developing a robust civil society and democracy in Ukraine!
