Journalist standards and professional ethics in wartime

On February 28, with the support of USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech held a roundtable discussion on "Journalist Standards and Professional Ethics in Wartime," bringing together various stakeholders, including representatives of the professional community, government agencies, and the public.

USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program experts prepared and presented an information brief during the roundtable, having analyzed the regulatory framework for journalists' work during wartime in Ukraine, the United States, Israel, and the United Kingdom and the global experience and practice of war journalism. The "RADA: Next Generation" Program promotes public events of parliamentary committees to engage as many Ukrainians as possible in the lawmaking process and discuss socially essential issues, considering the interests of a wide range of stakeholders.
