Best Practices in Committee Collaboration (2023–2024)

The USAID RADA: Next Generation Program aims to strengthen the capacity of Verkhovna Rada Committees by:

• Enhancing collaboration between committees, the government, and line ministries.
• Building the analytical and oversight capacity of committee secretariats to evaluate legislative implementation.
• Implementing effective tools for citizen engagement and communication.

While the Program supports all Verkhovna Rada Committees, each year it selects several committees for deeper engagement.

For 2023–2024, eight committees were chosen based on interviews: Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services, Committee on Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning, Committee on Youth and Sports, Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management, Committee on Freedom of Speech, Committee on Economic Development, Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.

This document highlights best practices from collaboration with these committees to share insights and foster innovation across all committees of the Verkhovna Rada.
