III Forum "Veterans – Path Home: assisting community in protecting veterans' rights and meeting their needs"

With the support of the USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, the VRU Committee on Social Policy and Veterans' Rights Protection and the Inter-Factional Deputy Association "Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine," together with its partners, are organizing a forum titled "Veterans - the Path Home: Community Capacities in Protecting Veterans' Rights and Meeting Their Needs" on August 9 in Zviahel.

The Program helps the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and MPs to hold public discussions on socially important topics and involve various stakeholders to solve existing problems jointly.

Ukrainian communities must now find solutions and develop plans to help defenders return to normal life, provide them with everything they need, and become veterans' partners and a reliable service provider.

We invite Ukrainian veterans, representatives of the communities, and non-governmental organizations working on the needs and protection of the rights of combatants, veterans, their families, and family members of fallen heroes to participate.

During the forum, participants will:

• discuss the observance of the rights of veterans, their needs, development of the social protection system, medical care, psychological rehabilitation, social and professional adaptation;
• share successful experience of supporting veterans at the level of territorial communities;
• develop proposals for a policy of reintegration of veterans, as well as support for their families, families of missing and captured servicemen and women.
