With the support of the USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Veterans' Rights Protection, together with its partners, is organizing a forum titled "Veterans - the Path Home: Community Capacities in Protecting Veterans' Rights and Meeting Their Needs" on July 22 in Ternopil.
The program helps the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and MPs to hold public discussions on socially important topics and involve various stakeholders to solve existing problems jointly.
Ukrainian communities must now find solutions and develop plans to help defenders return to normal life, provide them with everything they need, and become veterans' partners and a reliable service provider.
We invite Ukrainian veterans, representatives of the communities of the Ternopil region, and non-governmental organizations working on the needs and protection of the rights of combatants, veterans, their families, and family members of fallen heroes to participate.
When: July 22 (9:00)
Registration: For online participation please fill in the online form
Participants will discuss the effectiveness of government agencies and veterans' support programs, best practices of communities and existing problems and barriers from the perspective of veterans.
The forum will have 4 focuses: continuous rehabilitation; veteran-society communication and trauma psychology; employment and entrepreneurship; social sphere in the state-community paradigm.
