Forum of Democratic Lawmaking

Nowadays, democracies around the world are facing many problems. Information technologies are changing today's picture, and critical perception of information is becoming increasingly difficult. The population's distrust towards traditional political elites is growing, and the distance between the voter and the politician is increasing. At the same time, for Ukraine, these challenges are even more large-scale, as Russian armed aggression and propaganda work to destabilize and discredit democratic institutions.

The USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program organizes the Forum of Democratic Lawmaking on September 16. It will become a platform that will bring together representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, public organizations, and donors to solve the challenges facing Ukraine's parliamentary democracy jointly.

When: September 16 (12:00)

Format: offline (the venue of the event will be notified to registered participants; the number of places is limited)

Registration: you have to fill out the form by September 10

During the forum, the participants will discuss how the public can effectively interact with the Verkhovna Rada at various levels and how to ensure the stability of parliamentary democracy under martial law. The discussions will also cover the topic of democratic lawmaking: how to ensure compliance with all principles and minimize the latest risks.
