Conference "Cash Assistance for Internally Displaced Persons"

With the support of the USAID "RADA: Next Generation" Program, the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Protection of IDPs' Rights is organizing a conference titled "Cash Assistance for Internally Displaced Persons" on June 17 in order to:

• harmonize international assistance and domestic fiscal policy to maximize support for IDPs;
• develop policy recommendations on how to improve cash assistance mechanisms for IDPs;
• strengthen the oversight function of the parliament;
• involve as many government officials, donors, and stakeholders as possible in a coordinated and comprehensive response to IDPs' needs.

About 100 participants are expected to attend, including MPs and the leadership of Ukrainian ministries, local governments, international donors, IDP councils, NGOs, and charitable organizations.

"RADA: The Next Generation" Program helps the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine strengthen parliamentary oversight, actively engage with stakeholders, and involve them in the legislative process to jointly develop effective solutions to public problems.
